Asad Durrani

Chairman and CEO

Asad Durrani, the Founder of AAXIS, has been serving as the Chairman and CEO since its inception in 1999, building the business from a team of six to hundreds across the globe. Under his leadership, AAXIS has sustained continuous profitability and operational expansion to global markets in China, India, and Latin America.

Asad steered the company into the online and digital commerce space since 2005, focusing on the delivery of commerce strategy in addition to technology implementation and outsourcing. Asad has built a culture of striving for excellence, shared commitment, and a collaborative environment which is essential to great outcomes. The Executive Team has been together for over 20 years.

Asad has orchestrated multiple company pivots throughout his tenure by leveraging a keen ability to foresee and align with future market needs and trends. Asad recognized the significance of developing intellectual property (IP) and proprietary assets, with a specialization in certain verticals.

Asad started his career as an entrepreneur building successful companies in four different industries prior to founding AAXIS.

Asad received a BA in Economics from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Riaz Siddiqi

Executive Chairman

Riaz Siddiqi is the Executive Chairman at AAXIS. He is one of the Founders and Managing Partner Emeritus of Denham Capital, an energy and resources-focused private equity firm with approximately $12 billion in assets under management.

Beyond his role at AAXIS, Riaz is the Chairman of Clovis Point Capital, a private equity firm specializing in investments in software and tech-enabled service companies. In the early 2000s, Riaz served as President and CEO of Thermal North America, the largest district heating and cooling company in the US. He also served as President and CEO of Wharton County Power Partners, a Texas company that owned power generation facilities. Prior to joining Denham in 2004, Riaz was President and CEO of Capstone Global Energy, a company that he founded.

Riaz’s leadership extends to his position as Chairman Emeritus of the American Pakistan Foundation and as a Board member of the Convergence Center for Policy Resolution. He is actively involved with Business Executives for National Security (BENS), where he lends his expertise to the U.S. government on national security matters. In addition to his professional pursuits, Riaz is a dedicated volunteer pilot for Angel Flight, Pilots for Patients, and Veterans Airlift Command. His contributions to business and philanthropy have been recognized by the Asia Society Houston Center, where he received an award for leadership.

Riaz received a Bachelor of Science from Pakistan University of Energy & Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Graduate School of Business at Mississippi State University.

Duc Hang

Chief Product Officer

In the role of CPO, Duc Hang provides leadership in research and development, product design, and market fit. Possessing a solid foundation in technology, Duc focuses on launching innovative SaaS solutions for specific industries and global regions. Duc promotes a disciplined approach to design thinking, ensuring products align closely with user needs and industry standards.  

Previously, Duc served as AAXIS COO & Executive Director for Offshore Operations.  His focus was to improve AAXIS Commerce’s global capability to deliver outstanding solutions to its clients.  His work bridged onsite project teams, the Chengdu development center, and clients to streamline communication and collaboration, improve software development practices, and elevate engineering capabilities. 

He received his Engineering B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA 

Naresh Ram

Chief Science Officer

Naresh Ram is a seasoned technology professional with a rich history at AAXIS, having been an integral part of the company since its inception in 1999. He played various roles from a software developer to an architect to CTO and currently serves as the Chief Science Officer.

Naresh is responsible for the exploration of emerging technologies with an emphasis on commercial applications. He is also deeply involved in shaping new practices within the organization. This includes setting standards, leading the development of accelerators, assisting in sales activities, and ensuring the seamless execution of projects.

Naresh led the development of B2C and B2B eCommerce initiatives at AAXIS, working with Java custom applications, Oracle Commerce, ORO commerce, and Magento commerce. Most recently, he is working on establishing a Salesforce practice. He also is playing a significant role in the development of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Generative AI offerings. He loves writing, solving puzzles, and learning new programming languages and tools.

Naresh holds a Masters in Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an undergraduate degree in Engineering from the renowned Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India.

Vu Nguyen

COO & Chief Digital Strategist

Vu Nguyen joined AAXIS in August 2004 as Principal of Solutions Delivery. Vu plays a key role in the growth of the AAXIS organization, including the initial establishment of AAXIS’ first offshore development center in Chengdu, China. Vu has over 12 years of experience in application development and IT consulting, focusing on custom enterprise applications and eCommerce systems.

Prior to joining AAXIS, Vu co-founded and operated Core Dynamix Solutions, an elite consulting group that specialized in building and deploying highly scalable business systems. From 2000 to 2004, Vu assisted clients from different industries across a wide range of technology projects, including: the development of a digital asset management system for Hollywood studios; an online education framework; a point-of-sale system; assessments of mission-critical enterprise systems that exhibited performance and scalability issues; and migration from legacy technologies to J2EE-based frameworks. Vu attributes the development of key professional knowledge and skills to earlier stints at Goldman Sachs and Trilogy Software.

Vu received a BS degree in Economics from the Wharton School of Business and a BE from the Moore School of Engineering, at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. 

Rajeev Hans

Chief Technology Officer

Rajeev started his career with 2 product companies, and quickly learned how to build products that solve hard problems at scale. He also understood the importance of great user experiences for external customers and internal customers alike.

For the past 16 years, Rajeev has worked at AAXIS and has dedicated himself to building digital commerce systems for some of the largest companies in the world. Rajeev is also passionate about applying empirical based thinking to improving the development life cycle and quality of the end product.

Rajeev helps clients make sense of new and emerging technologies, and designs and implements resilient systems at scale.

Rajeev received a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the Army Institute of Technology, Pune, India.

Prashant Mishra

Chief Data and Analytics Officer

Prashant brings over 25 years of experience in the field of data and analytics, providing leadership and guidance for all AI and Data Analytics initiatives within the company. He also drives innovation and steers transformative projects within the organization. Playing a key role in efforts such as the development of a proprietary social commerce platform, advanced analytics for e-Commerce, and Generative AI applications, he has been instrumental in designing robust data models and analytics frameworks, contributing significantly to the evolution of AAXIS’ Platform.

Before joining AAXIS, he worked at companies like Yahoo, DirecTV, and others, during which he played a pivotal role in designing a data platform for the first-ever addressable ad and analytical solutions for petabyte-scale data.

Prashant holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics. 

Gerry Palaganas

Global Head of Managed Services

Gerry heads the AAXIS Global Managed Services team. This team spans multiple time zones covering 24/7 support and has responsibility over systems that transact over $7 Billion USD in yearly revenue.  The team has strong focus in mission-critical production operations, cloud architecture, site reliability engineering, devops, and security.

Gagan Singh

Controller

Gagan Singh, a distinguished Certified Public Accountant (CPA), has been a cornerstone of our financial success since 2011, amassing an impressive 20-year tenure. His expertise extends across the intricacies of financial management, budgeting, tax planning, auditing, and risk management. Gagan’s strategic insights have not only streamlined processes but have also set benchmarks for efficiency and compliance, establishing him as an indispensable asset to our organization.

Beyond his official responsibilities, Gagan embodies an unwavering dedication to excellence, infusing precision and integrity into every financial decision. As a pivotal member of our leadership team, he fosters a resilient financial foundation that propels our organization’s growth.

Gagan received a Masters degree in Commerce, Accounting and a Bachelors degree in Commerce with Honors.

Andy Wagner

Executive Director

Andy is dedicated to discovering and delivering transformative growth opportunities for both new and existing customers. With 25 years of international experience, he has assisted enterprise B2B and B2C brands across various sectors such as Wholesale, Distribution, Manufacturing, CPG, Telco, and Retail. Throughout his career, Andy has consistently demonstrated his ability to deliver successful outcomes through commerce, content, and business strategy optimization engagements. These outcomes have significantly improved buyer acquisition, engagement, and retention across multiple channels and systems.  Andy’s primary focus is bridging the gap between strategic business goals and technical execution. His expertise lies in collaborating with and preparing organizations to embrace the digital economy by identifying the necessary tools and insights needed for them to thrive in the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Andy holds a BA degree in Architecture from The Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA. He is an active member of Rutger’s University Design Thinking Advisory Board. 

Marcelo Dujovne

Country Head for Chile

Marcelo is a seasoned leader and manager with over 15 years of experience in various industries, such as consulting services, financial services, telco, CPG, logistics, and hi-tech. He has worked as a business partner and HR professional for top organizations like Citi, Nestlé, Movistar, PWC, etc., delivering outstanding results in business and partnerships development, change management, and digital transformation. He is adept at aligning business and IT objectives and strategies, and fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.

Marcelo joined AAXIS in 2017 as HR Manager and Administration, and then he took over the HR function for Latam, USA, and India. He currently holds the title of Country Head for Chile, with the challenge of expanding the company in the region. He is also a board member of DCH in Chile and a project evaluator of Start up Chile.

Marcelo has a degree in Psychology and a dual MBA with an HR specialization from Universidad Diego Portales and ESERP Spain.
